Architectural Conservation Unit
The Architectural Conservation unit was established to accomplish the role of An-Najah National University in serving and developing the local community and to contribute to the protection and conservation of Palestinian cultural heritage.
- Contributing to documentation of architectural and urban heritage of Palestine.
- Contributing to conservation of historic buildings and heritage sites in Palestine.
- Contributing to raising awareness among the local community towards issues related to protection and conservation of Palestinian cultural heritage.
- Contributing to capacity building in the field of conservation.
- Cooperating with relevant Palestinian ministries and institutions working in the field of conservation.
- Establishing a network of national and international relationships with counterpart centers and institutions.
- Providing support and assistant to students and researchers in the field of conservation.
Our office is located at a conserved traditional building in the Old City of Nablus. The building contains lectures rooms, seminars rooms, and a computer lab. It also has facilities for workshops and exhibitions.
