The Department of Physics at An-Najah National University cordially invites you to attend
a one-day workshop about Computation and Simulation in Physics and Engineering. The workshop will focus on recent developments in computation and numerical simulation applied to problems in science teaching and research. The use of the Jupyter notebook and its distribution to students through a JupyterHub server will be demonstrated. The versatility and simplicity of this tool for the teaching of high-level scripting languages such as Python will be demonstrated. Accurate numerical simulation and visualisation of solutions to Maxwell’s equations for problems of research interest will also presented and discussed.

The workshop will take place on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at the New Campus’s IT Laboratory 0040 from 10:00-13:00 a.m.
Target Audience:
Advanced undergraduates, master’s level graduate students, physics and engineering teaching staff from An-Najah and other West Bank universities.
