On 13 October, 2021, MoreThanAJob Steering Committee Members, met online to clarify fundamental concepts and questions related to the next project activities and plans as the second year of the project has already been completed.


MoreThanAJob Steering Committee members include 6 partners of "Reinforcing social and solidarity economy for the unemployed, uneducated and refugees" Project (MoreThanAJob) across five Mediterranean countries (Italy, Greece, Palestine, Jordan and Lebanon).

The participants had a fruitful work session, sharing the achievements, challenges and the progress made on the project.

The meeting included discussions about the project plan (progress update), cost update, major achievements, work in progress and next steps, and major issues that are currently blocking the project from moving ahead. Also, the management activities and the budget changes have been discussed and analyzed.

All partners expressed their interest and support for the project next steps, specially the implementation of their 10 winning projects to promote social and employment inclusion of vulnerable groups.

The meeting concluded with a discussion led by the project coordinator, Dr. Imad Ibrik about the project's future activities.

The mission of MoreThanAJob project is to deliver and demonstrate a framework of ‎best practices, previously identified and studied for the inclusion of the unemployed in ‎the work and education system. The framework is based on the collaboration of social ‎and solidarity economy (SSE) actors and public authorities for delivering in a more ‎effective way their services. This are being implemented NOW through pilot sub-projects aiming to ‎ensure a long-term impact and the creation of jobs. ‎

It’s worth mentioning that MoreThanAJob is a project funded by the European Union under ENI CBC Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme , and coordinated by An-Najah National University (Palestine) through the Center of International Projects and Grants. It also includes 6 partners: Nablus chamber of commerce and industry (Palestine); Ministry of ‎Public Works and Housing (Jordan); Mutah University (Jordan); Business Consultancy ‎and Training Services (Lebanon); EUROTRAINING (Greece); and CESIE (Italy). ‎
