The Community Service Center at An-Najah National University implemented a housing rehabilitation project benefiting 12 families and 57 individuals across Nablus, surrounding villages, and Askar Camp. The initiative addressed the urgent needs of low-income households, including widows, single mothers, persons with disabilities, and elderly residents. Rehabilitation works included structural repairs, plumbing and electrical upgrades, insulation, and accessibility modifications, leading to improved and safer living conditions.

The project was funded through the Philanthropy Forum Program and the Community Service Unit Fund, with additional support from students through the “Charity Notebooks” initiative. Implementation was carried out in cooperation with local community organizations.

In addition, the project included the comprehensive renovation of the mortuary facility at Rafidia Hospital, enhancing its infrastructure and capacity while ensuring respectful and dignified conditions.

This initiative reflects the Unit’s ongoing commitment to social development, reducing community hardships, and promoting the right to adequate and dignified housing.
