An-Najah National University’s Community Service Center, in collaboration with the Nablus Municipality Fire Department, has concluded a fire and safety training course with the participation of 46 students. The course focused on fire response techniques, fire prevention, types of fires, firefighting methods, safety guidelines, and principles of safe evacuation.


The aim of the course was to enhance students' emergency response skills. It included practical training at the Nablus Municipality Fire Department, where participants learned firefighting techniques, evacuation of injured individuals, and rescue from building rooftops and windows. Students were also introduced to fire trucks, their specializations, firefighting and rescue equipment, and the incident reporting room.

The training was led by Essam Saleem, Training Coordinator at the Nablus Municipality Fire Department, who taught participants how to handle road accident injuries, use fire extinguishers, and simulate liquid fire incidents, as well as practicing rope rescue techniques.

This course reflects the University's commitment to promoting public safety and raising community awareness among students. It serves as a valuable initiative aimed at equipping students with the knowledge and skills needed to respond to emergencies, reinforcing the University’s role in community service and its dedication to social responsibility by preparing students to actively contribute to their communities.
