An-Najah Discusses Means of Mutual Cooperation with Environment Quality Authority
On Thursday, February7, 2022, Mr. Raed Debiy, President's Assistant for Community Affairs, and Mr. llKhaled Al-Husseini, Director of the Public Relations Department at the University, received a delegation from the Environment Quality Authority in Palestine to discuss and identify possible areas of future joint cooperation. The delegation included Eng. Amjad Al-Kharraz, Ms. Mai Rahal, Eng. Huda Zaarour, and Eng. Oday Judeh.
The two parties discussed the possibilities of implementing many joint projects, workshops, and environmental activities to mark the 5th of March as the National Environment Day in Palestine.
Mr. Debiy noted how An-Najah has supported important environmental and national issues, pointing to the importance of environment in Palestine and how Palestinian people continue to struggle against environmental injustice in Palestine.
The delegation was impressed with An-Najah University and commended its leading role in encouraging scientific research that serves local community, and promoting environmental protection through the establishment of partnerships with the Environment Quality Authority, local institutions, and research centers around the world.
