Supervised by the Deanship of Students’ Affairs, and in cooperation with An-Najah National University’s Faculty of Medicine and Health sciences, Palestinian Medicine Students Assembly (PMSA) organized the activities of the first local assembly for medical students Saturday, 12 June, 2021.


The activity was held at the University's Engineering and Information Technology Auditorium, New Campus, and it was attended by Dr. Waleed Basha, supervisor of the assembly; Dr. Ibraheem Al-Qaysi, Former President of the assembly; Fadi Basha, President of the assembly and student; member students of different years from the Faculty (students of Biomedical Sciences as well as Medicine Programs), among of which, Majd Ubeid and Sama Khader.

Fadi Basha delivered a speech and pointed out that this assembly aims to sharpen member students’ personalities, empower their skills, and open a window of opportunity for them to exchange experiences and knowledge in the different societal and medical fields. It also aims to equip them with the qualifications needed to participate in the assembly’s national and international events.

Dr. Waleed Basha praised the continuous role of the PMSA and the efforts it devotes for medicine students’ assemblies in Nablus, Palestine, calling the PMSA for keep moving forward to upgrade its member students' skills.​​​​​​​

Dr. Ibraheem Al-Qaysi shared his experience in PMSA with the former members in obtaining the international accreditation, and introduced the assembly’s objectives to the audience and the considerable benefits students enjoy once they enroll it.​​​​​​​

The activities held involved 6 training and awareness-raising workshops organized by PMSA’s students, and these workshops covered several topics most important were “Psychological First Aid”, “Be the Change”, “Break the Silence”, “Disasters and Refugees”, “Professional Student and Research Exchange”, and “Awake Your Inner Greatness”.

In a general session that followed these workshops, crucial decisions concerning the assembly were made including accrediting new codes, acknowledging amendments on the internal regulations, accrediting the current team’s reports in accordance with the rules and regulations of the UN in particular.

The event concluded with some entertaining and social activities.
