Leading Businesses and Small Projects Workshop

As a result of the Palestinian National Network for the Unemployed project, a workshop titled: “Leading Businesses and Small Projects” was held at An-Najah University.
The workshop aimed to find strategies on decreasing unemployment rate in Palestine through providing job opportunities and supporting small businesses.
The workshop was held under the auspices of the Minister of Labor Dr. Nasri Abu Jaish, organized by the Youth Center for Development and Creativity in cooperation with An-Najah Business Innovation and Partnership Centre (NaBIC) and the Palestinian Fund for Employment and Social Protection.
The workshop included an interactive discussion on finding a clear strategy to solve the unemployment pproblem majorly in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, and offering professional and technical training opportunities.
In addition, the speakers pointed out that the unemployment rate is increasing due to weakness of private sector institution, and economic and social circumstances that the Palestinian people are going through. The speakers confirmed that the Palestinian National Network project will contribute to lowering the unemployment rate, developing job opportunities, and helping young graduates to get involved in the community.
