Dr. Sana' Al-Sarghali Success Story

CARE International Palestine recently interviewed Dr. Sana' Al-Sarghali from the Faculty of Law at An-Najah University and the ninth member of the Select Constitutional Drafting Committee in Palestine to talk about her success story as a political activist and academic lecturer.
The event came as part of CARE's campaign to support women's political participation in collaboration with Women Media & Development (TAM) and An-Najah National University.
Dr. al-Sarghali talked about her childhood and the family support she always got to achieve her dreams.
She also talked about her academic life and referred to importance of voluntary work and studying abroad in enriching students' experience. She mentioned that our students should represent Palestine at world universities and convey the Palestinian narrative to the West.
In addition, she discussed the importance of women participation in politics and adjusting to different work environments to break gender barriers.
At the end of the interview, Dr. Al-Sarghali answered the students' questions and offered them pieces of advice on how to plan their future and achieve their dreams.
The interview also included screening a caricature video titled: "Our constitution: Me and you – You and Me", which was conducted by An-Najah Constitutional Studies Center (NCSC*), as well as a musical performance.
Worth mentioning that Dr. Al-Sarghali is the first Palestinian woman to have a PhD in constitutional law and the first to obtain the Outstanding Alumni Award from Lancaster University.
