An-Najah University Raises Awareness on Type 1 Diabetes in Children

The Public Relations and Communication Department collaborated with the Nutrition and Food Technology Department to organize lecture and raise awareness on type 1 diabetes in children titled: "Chronic Hope".
The lecture aimed at raising awareness for diabetes in general and type 1 diabetes in children and how to contain it.
The lecture is part of Anas & Leen project, a student initiative that aims at raising awareness for diabetes and involving diabetic students in the community with the support of the Media Center.
The lecture included a motivational speech by Mr. Shadi Kassis, CEO and Founder of Ashuja'an Association for Juvenile Diabetes.
The lecture also included a presentation on new technology that helps to minimize the effects of diabetes such as insulin pumps offered by the Association.
The lecture was moderated by the supervisors of Anas & Leen Project, Mrs. Haya Ayoub from the Public Relations and Communication Department and Ms. Alma Irshaid from the Nutrition and Food Technology Department.
