On Sunday, September 8, 2019, Dr. Mohammed Al-Subu', Vice President for Academic Affairs received a delegation from Stavanger University in Norway.

Headed by Brita Strand Rangnes, Vice Dean of Education, Faculty of Arts and Education, the delegation included a number of academics from of different disciplines from Stavanger.


The visit was part of the twinning program between Stavanger and Nablus and was organized by the Office of Scholarship Affairs at An-Najah.

The visit aimed at strengthening existing collaboration in education and humanities, specifically in areas of teacher training and drama; promoting exchange courses and recruiting students for new exchange period in Stavanger in Spring of 2020; building collaboration in new academic fields such as social sciences, media/journalism and religious studies; making preparations for sending UiS students to Nablus on field work exchange under the Erasmus+ ICM exchange scheme and exchanging experiences with central administrative units. 

The delegation also met with a number of An-Najah's staff members to discuss research cooperation and promote expertise exchange and joint programs.

The visit also included an interview with students for exchange and discussion of nomination process as well as workshops on music, drama, PR, psychology and English language and literature.

The workshops will end on Wednesday, September 11, 2019.
