An-Najah Receives a Student Group from IAESTE
On Wednesday, August 9th, 2017, Professor Maher Natsheh, Acting President of An-Najah received at his office a student group from the International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE).
The group included students from Sweden, Germany, Portugal, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, and Austria to learn about the political situation in Palestine and the Palestinian culture and people and discuss the progress made on their internship in the region.
Prof. Natsheh welcomed the guests and briefed them on An-Najah’s recent academic and research developments. He also mentioned that the university seeks to establish academic relations with world institutions and individuals to exchange expertise and enhance the learning outcomes.
Dr. Reyad Abdulkareem, Director of IAESTE in Palestine talked about the students’ integration in the Palestinian community and referred to their cooperation with the hosting institution which lead to achieving the project’s intended outcome. He also mentioned that the training also included dispatching the university students abroad to enhance their competency, develop their skills and integrate them with other societies.
Prof. Amer Hamouz, Director of the Practical Training Centre said that the university has recently resorted to student practical training to prepare the students for the work field.

- IAESTE is an independent, non-profit and non-political student exchange organization that provides students in technical degrees (primarily science, engineering and the applied arts) with paid, course-related, training abroad and employers with highly skilled, highly motivated trainees, for long or short term projects.
