On its continuous march to set a precedent of academic success, the Faculty of Educational Sciences and Teachers’ Training at An-Najah National University has recently established a new programme on teachers’ training that qualifies students and graduates to practice teaching at the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education.


The programme aims at offering more job opportunities for Palestinian graduates and will include students from Islamic Law, Humanities, Geography, Sciences and other educational disciplines.

Graduates and those who have passed 60 credit hours or more can enroll in the programme which consists of 25 credit hours.

The programme is parallel to a diploma certificate and matches the standards of the Ministry of Education Higher Education in Palestine.

On this occasion, Dr. Alia Assali, Dean of the Faculty of Educational Sciences and Teachers’ Training said that the programme will produce qualified teachers whose qualifications match the labour market’s need and hence will improve the quality of education in Palestine.

She also commended An-Najah administration role in offering support to accredit the programme at the beginning of the new academic year 2016/2017.
