An-Najah Receives the Head of the International Francophone University Agency-Europe
On Wednesday, August 3rd, 2016, Professor Maher Natsheh, Acting President of An-Najah University received at his office Prof. Annick Suzor-Weiner, Head of the International Francophone University Agency in Europe and Prof. John Weiner, Dr. Ahmed Bassalat and Dr. Hadil Abualrob from the Physics Department.
The visit aimed at discussing the renewal of collaboration agreement between An-Najah and Paris Sud University and holding a winter activity at An-Najah.
Prof. Natsheh talked about An-Najah University history, campuses and students and referred to the financial and political challenges that encounter higher education in Palestine. He also talked about An-Najah academic status among Arab and international universities and its recent Webometrics ranking; 1st in Palestine and 21st in Arab World universities.
In turn, Prof. Weiner stressed the importance of collaboration between An-Najah and the French universities and discussed students exchange programmes that allow An-Najah students to obtain higher degrees from Paris Sud and other French universities. She also commended An-Najah as a prominent national and international university and encouraged developing academic links with the International Francophone University Agency-Middle East.
