An-Najah Signs an MOU with the National Technical University of Athens
On Thursday, May 19th, 2016, An-Najah represented by Professor Maher Natsheh, Acting President and Dr. Raed Abdulraheem, Coordinator of the Arabic for Non-Native Speakers Programme visited the National Technical University of Athens to sign an MOU with Prof. Michalis Bratakos, President of the Technical University.
An-Najah and the Technical University have agreed to develop academic relations through exchanging expertise in the fields of research, education and academic exchange programmes.
In the same context, both universities have signed another MOU regarding the Standardized Test of Arabic Proficiency in Speakers of Other Languages which will be supervised by An-Najah and held twice a year at the Technical University. The examination will be used as an official accreditation for employment and Arabic speaking proficiency.
Prof. Bratakos welcomed An-Najah delegation and hoped to expand cooperation to other fields. He also talked about the Technical University’s programmes, students and accreditations.
In turn, Prof. Natsheh thanked the Technical University for receiving him and briefed the attendees on An-Najah’s history and academic achievements. He also discussed further means of cooperation to include agreements with the Technical University’s deans and heads of departments.
