The festival included poetry reading by writers and poets from the university and outside campus in addition to recitation of national songs.

Dr. Adnan Melhem, President’s Assistant for Social Affairs started to talk about the university’s role in promoting the Palestinian culture through the festival.

In his turn, Dr. Nader Qassim, Head of the Arabic Language Department thanked the festival’s organizers and mentioned that the event aims at enriching the university students’ cultural and academic backgrounds and encouraging them to read and write Arabic poetry.

Dr. Jaber Khdair, Lecturer at the Arabic Language Department said that the department aspires to hold other activities that enrich the Arabic literature and the Palestinian culture.
