Holding the 6th International Conference on Drug Abuse

On Thursday, March 31st, 2016, the Faculty of Islamic Law at An-Najah in cooperation with the Palestinian Ministry of Awqaf and the Friends of Life Anti Drug Society held the 6th International Conference on Drug Abuse to discuss reasons, effects and treatment of drug abuse from a legal, social and Islamic point of view at the Zafer Al-Masri Auditorium in the Old Campus.
The conference was supported by the Human Appeal International in Emirates and Al-Rajeh Detergents' Factory in Nablus and included discussing more than 30 research papers produced by various universities and institutions.
The opening session included speeches by Dr. Mohammad El-Amleh, Vice President of Academic Affairs and Dr. Jamal Al-Kilani, Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Law.
The conference resulted in a number of recommendations; namely, setting legal and therapeutic solutions to protect the Palestinian youth and society, activating the religious anti-drug institutions and family sponsorship, investing the youth free time and building rehabilitation centres.
