Program Description

The Social Work Program at An-Najah National University is an exceptional undergraduate program renowned for its quality. Established in 2018, the program aligns with the demands of the modern labor market and emphasizes the acquisition of twenty-first-century skills in both learning and teaching. It encompasses a comprehensive curriculum of 131 credit hours, comprising theoretical and practical courses, with a strong emphasis on practical field experience. Social work, being primarily a humanitarian profession, is a focal point of the program.

Our program strives to equip students with the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to become highly qualified social workers capable of working across various fields of social work. Upon completion of their bachelor's degree, graduates can pursue careers as social workers in government ministries, including the Ministry of Social Development, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Women Affairs, or the Ministry of Labor.

Furthermore, our graduates have the opportunity to work in hospitals, where they can provide essential social services to patients and actively engage in managing their well-being. They may also find employment in civil society organizations and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) involved in social work, service, or development initiatives.

Given that the social work profession continually evolves and extends its reach globally, we remain dedicated to developing study plans that align with the rapid changes in the labor market and the diverse realms of social services.
