The programme provides the students with the knowledge and scientific research tools needed to conduct and develop academic research. Although some graduates do pursue PhD studies in economics, policy analysis, or related areas, the primary purpose of this programme is to prepare students for employment as economic analysts in a variety of public and private-sector organizations.

The programme increased my productivity significantly, and helped me develop my time-management, critical thinking and analytical skills. I acquired the skills that I need to advance my career and work in leadership, management, and research positons in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors and become highly accomplished policymakers and professionals in market economies. It also improved my skills in writing and reading reports and economic research.

The programme is designed to train students in applied economic analysis with a strong policy orientation by using SPSS, EVIEWS and GIS programmes. Joining this programme helped me gain the knowledge needed to pursue my higher education abroad.
