Dr. Hasan Ayoub from the Political Sciences Department participated in the "Centering Palestine: Activism, Solidarity, and Anti-colonialism" symposium in Colorado Springs.

The symposium was organized by Students for Justice in Palestine, a pro-Palestinian college student activism organization in the United States, Canada and New Zealand. It has campaigned for boycott and divestment against corporations that deal with Israel and organized events that accuse Israel of war crimes, ethnic cleansing and genocide.

Dr. Ayoub gave a presentation about the Palestinian Cause and the difficult circumstances Palestinians live in under occupation. He also referred to the dangers of the so-called "Deal of Century".

Dr. Ayoub also participated in the "Palestinian-Israeli Peace Process: Prospects and Obstacles" symposium moderated by Prof Nader Hashemi, Director of the Center for Middle East Studies and an Assistant Professor of Middle East and Islamic Politics at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver.
