An-Najah Professor Participates in a Scientific Visit to China
Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at An-Najah Dr. Ali Abdul Hameed, concluded a scientific visit to Nanjing, China during October 14 – October 17, 2019 as part of "Planning Industrial Zones in the Middle East and Palestine" cooperation project. This project was signed between An-Najah and Southeast University (SEU) in China in 2017 and is funded by the Chinese Government.
Furthermore, During his visit, Dr. Ali Abdelhamid attended the project's annual meeting. The meeting was also attended by SEU representatives, representatives of the Chinese Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development .Also, it was attended by The Belt and Road Initiative which funds the project as well as a number of Chinese companies that implement industrial cities projects in the Middle East.
The meeting focused on looking the annual report results, the project's future plans, and forming a joint working group from An-Najah University, Southeast University (SEU), and the Palestinian Industrial Estate and Free Zone Authority (PIEFZA) in order to develop future plans for industrial planning projects in Palestine.
Dr. Abdul Hameed also gave a presentation on the impacts of industrial parks on urban development and spatial planning in Palestine.
