Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) International, known as Doctors Without Borders, team delegates; Ms. Jennifer Craig: Project Coordinator and Ms. Bettina Bohm; Mental Health Activities Manager has recently visited An-Najah National University.

At the office of Prof. Maher Natsheh, the University acting president, the team met with the Dean of Faculty of  Medicine and Health Sciences; Dr. Khalil Issa and the Director of Palestine Child Institute; Dr. Ali Shaar.

The meeting aimed to expand the collaboration between An-Najah and MSF in line with the MOU signed in 2019 to "upgrade the skills of the psychology masters students from An-Najah and provide workshops and specific training for nurse and medical students relating to psychology and mental health". This is in addition to supporting An-Najah through the clinical placement of students enrolled in the Clinical Psychology Master's Degree.

Both parties agreed to hold activities next June and July. These activities aim to raise awareness of senior medical and nursing students and graduates in their clinical psychology master's program about clinical psychology and mental health.

This is part of the continuous efforts of MSF in Palestine to promote the health system and the University's focus on social accountability and mutual responsibility with active NGOs in Palestine.
