On Tuesday, May 10th, 2016, a delegation from An-Najah National University participated in the Tempus-RecoNow Project Conference in Bologna, Italy.


The conference was over two days from May 10th-11th, 2016 and aimed at discussing the projects achievements in the participating countries in the past couple years.

Dr. Rasha Khayyat, Coordinator of the Scholarships Office talked about the scholarship and exchange programmes offered by the office to European universities especially the Erasmus+ projects.

Engineer Sami Sadder from the Quality Assurance Unit presented on the project’s outcomes at An-Najah which included enhancing the university's capability to accredit hours spent by An-Najah students enrolling in exchange programmes and transferring those hours from credit transfer and accumulation system (ECTS). The development process included improvements on certificates issued by the university and awarded to its graduates. It also included developing and documenting standards and procedures adopted by the Admission and Registration of arriving and departing students enrolled in the exchange programmes.

In his turn, Dr. Imad Ibrik, Coordinator of EU Projects at An-Najah commended the university’s efforts in achieving this progress made on the project.

An-Najah delegation also included Ms Fatima Sakhil from the Finance Department.

RecoNOW project aims at improving and increasing the quality of student mobility within the Middle Eastern and European higher education systems. The project tackles poor recognition of foreign qualifications as one of the main challenges that hinder international student mobility and provided trainings, seminars, exchange of good practices and internships.
