An-Najah Professor Participates in a Conference on Europe and Syrian Refugees
On Thursday, February 4th, 2016 Mr. Asaad Taffal, PhD candidate from an-Najah at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poland participated in the “the Security of Europe; The European Union And the new Challenges” Conference on the refugee’s crisis.
The Conference, which was held in Frankfurt, was over two days from February 4-5, 2016 and was attended by a number of academic researchers, sociologists and politicians from different parts of the world.
Mr. Taffal presented a research paper titled “Europe and the Syrian Refugees: Challenges and Opportunities of a Dilemma” which shed light on the dangers facing Syrian refugees while fleeing to Europe.
In his paper, Mr. Taffal talked about the economic and political problems facing Europe and stated that Syrian refugees should be welcome in Europe to fill the gaps in Europe’s economy.
The paper also discussed the process of integrating Syrian refugees in the European society as most Syrians are educated and have degrees in various fields.
