This event aligns with the University’s vision to achieve sustainable development goals, including quality education, partnerships for achieving objectives, sustainable cities and communities, and gender equality.
The event took place at the Faculty of Law Auditorium on the New Campus and was attended by Dr. Amjad Abu Hassan, from the Faculty of Engineering and IEEE Chapter Supervisor; Dr. Haya Samaana, from the Computer Science Department; Mr. Eyad Aqraa, Director of Student Affairs; Ms. Anan Nasser, Student Associations Coordinator at the Deanship of Student Affairs; student Nadia Bleibleh, IEEE Chapter President; the IEEE team; the winners and participants of the competition; and a group of students and representatives from Foothill, a sponsor of the event.
The event began with a Quran recitation, followed by a speech by Aws Khleif, Vice President of the Computer Science Society in IEEE, who, alongside the society’s President Bara’a Abu Halima, was instrumental in preparing the questions and evaluations. The ceremony included a recognition segment for the winners in various categories. Dr. Abu Hassan praised the Faculty of Engineering and the Deanship of Student Affairs for supporting student activities, while Mr. Aqraa highlighted the importance of extracurricular activities in developing students’ personalities. Nadia thanked the university, supervisors, volunteers, participants, and sponsors for their efforts.
