The session was attended by Dr. Ra’aed Al-Koni, Dean of Faculty of Science; Mr. Iyad Al-Aqra, Director of Student Affairs; Dr. Mahmoud Al-Qarout, Head of Physics Department and SAPA Supervisor; Shimaa Al-Haj, SAPA President, and a number of interested students. 

Mr. Al-Aqra welcomed the attendees and briefed them about the role of the Deanship of Student Affairs in advancing desirable learning and developmental outcomes for students through organizing a variety of campus activities.

Student Al-Haj pointed out that  SAPA holds an annual meeting to introduce the University students to the Association’s activities, goals, and plans. 

She added:” SAPA aims at developing the Palestinian students’ entrepreneurial thought and providing them an opportunity to be exposed to diverse international experiences in physics and astronomy. As part of the Physics Department, it aspires to raise awareness on astronomy among the Palestinian students in particular and the Palestinian community in general.
