100 students from An-Najah National University in partnership with the University's Deanship of Student Affairs, the Palestinian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in the Arab States, participated in the Youth Leadership Training Camp, which was held via Zoom platform over two days from December 2-3, 2020 in extraordinary circumstances under the COVID-19 pandemic.


The Deanship of Student Affairs participated in the training camp and it was represented by Mr. Mohammed Al-Atrash, and Mrs. Faten Abu Zarour, and Mrs. Ghada Abu El-Heija.

The training camp aimed to build the most dynamic network of university students working at the intersection of youth, innovation and sustainable development. Also, it aimed to encourage the university students to drive significant change in their communities, promote the civic and political engagement of youth and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and promote youth participation in public affairs at all levels.

The camp included trainings and discussions about a variety of themes most important are: sustainable development with gender equality, Design Thinking for Social Innovation, epidemics, and community leadership.

The Deanship of Student Affairs at the University seeks to empower students to support and develop their capabilities and skills to participate in practicing social responsibility to play a leading role in serving ‎their country and reinforcing sense of belonging to their homeland and University as well.
