An-Najah National University Won the First Rank in Telecommunication Contest for Improving Jawwal's Applications
Students from the Faculty of Engineering at An-Najah University won the first rank in telecommunication contest for improving Jawwal's applications at the local level (Multichannel Audio Digital Interface). PALTEL Group, in cooperation with PICTI, organized the contest under the patronage of Ministry of Telecommunication and Information Technology.
The "My Friends Application” Project was presented by these computer engineering students: Murad Abu-Shamleh, Ahmad Saqef Al-Hait, Mua'az Omar and Abdullah Ahmad, and supervised by Dr. Samer Al-Arandi, a lecturer at the department. The objective of this application, which targets smart phones, is to help tourists, travelers and others in breaking the language barrier through the advantages it offers.
The results declared the top five out of ninety-three projects in the field of mobiles' applications from all over the country; it included pupils, students, and graduates between the ages of 13 and 25.
The announcement of the winning projects came after a long filtering process. The ceremony culminated in Jawwal Company's signing an exclusive memorandum of understanding of two unique winner applications.
