An-Najah National University Ranked 1st in Palestine According to Webometrics 2018
An-Najah National University has recently been ranked the 1st Palestinian university according to Webometrics and 27th in the Arab World which means that it is among top 2.7% in Arab World universities.
The university was also ranked 1944 among 26 thousand international universities which means that it is among top 7.4% in world universities.
An-Najah produces annual research papers in different areas and encourages its researchers through offering a number of awards such as the An-Najah Research Award in Humanities and Natural Sciences, which includes researchers from different Arab universities.
The University also encourages its student researchers to publish their graduation projects and graduate and post-graduate theses by local and international journals.
On this occasion, Professor Maher Natsheh, Acting President of An-Najah congratulated An-Najah student and staff for their efforts to achieve this progress.
Webometrics Ranking of World Universities, also known as Ranking Web of Universities is published by the Cybermetrics Lab, a research group of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) located in Madrid.
The aim of the Ranking is to improve the presence of the academic and research institutions on the Web and to promote the open access publication of scientific results. The ranking started in 2004 and is updated every January and July. Today it provides Web indicators for more than 12,000 universities worldwide.
