For two sequential years, in 2023 and 2024, An-Najah National University has upheld its distinction as the only Palestinian institution to rank among the top 2000 universities on a global scale, according to The Center for World University Rankings (CWUR). In the latest assessment, the university secured the 1946th position out of 20,500 participating institutions worldwide, holding the leading position in Palestine. An-Najah stands as the unique Palestinian university featured in this prestigious ranking of the top 2000 universities worldwide.

The (CWUR) ranking methodology is based on four primary criteria: education quality, accounting for 25%, graduate employment, also at 25%, faculty excellence at 10%, and research quality at 40%. The latter encompasses four sub-criteria, each weighted at 10%: total research output, distinguished research output, research published in high-impact journals, and research citations.

Prof. Abdel Nasser Zaid, President of An-Najah National University, lauded this notable global accomplishment, underscoring it as a testament to the university's unwavering commitment to academic distinction. He noted how it mirrors the strategic vision embraced by the institution, prioritizing high-quality education and fostering a culture of research excellence. Additionally, he attributed this achievement to the collaborative endeavors aimed at advancing the university's academic standing.
