100 Years of Excellence and Innovation

On September 27, 2018, An-Najah National University is celebrating 100 years of ‎excellence and innovation.‎

An-Najah National University began as An-Najah Nabulsi School in 1918. In 1941, it ‎became An-Najah College and in 1965 began to offer intermediate university ‎degrees in academic fields that aimed to enhance the quality of education in ‎Palestine. In 1977, it transformed into An-Najah National University, starting with ‎two colleges: the College of Arts and the College of Science, and joined the ‎Association of Arab Universities as a full member in 1978.‎

Since its foundation, An-Najah National University has played a prominent role in ‎enriching intellectual, scientific and national movement in Palestine and the Arab ‎World. Despite all the difficult political challenges it faced, the University achieved ‎significant academic and research success over the years and became the largest ‎university in Palestine. The University aims to serve the Palestinian community and ‎is doing its best to reach out to as many people as possible around the world.‎

Through celebrating the centenary of its foundation, the University will be ‎documenting its success stories for 100 years now.‎
