100 Years of Excellence and Innovation
An-Najah National University began as An-Najah Nabulsi School in 1918. In 1941, it became An-Najah College and in 1965 began to offer intermediate university degrees in academic fields that aimed to enhance the quality of education in Palestine. In 1977, it transformed into An-Najah National University, starting with two colleges: the College of Arts and the College of Science, and joined the Association of Arab Universities as a full member in 1978.
Since its foundation, An-Najah National University has played a prominent role in enriching intellectual, scientific and national movement in Palestine and the Arab World. Despite all the difficult political challenges it faced, the University achieved significant academic and research success over the years and became the largest university in Palestine. The University aims to serve the Palestinian community and is doing its best to reach out to as many people as possible around the world.
Through celebrating the centenary of its foundation, the University will be documenting its success stories for 100 years now.
