Teaching and Education Research Unit

The Teaching and Education Research Unit was established with the goal of actively contributing to education research, providing research-based solutions to the educational challenges in Palestine, and effectively contributing to the sustainable development process.

The unit aims to achieve high-quality lifelong education for all, promoting personal development, economic sustainability, and social cohesion, which are crucial for Palestine's progress.

Additionally, the unit seeks to gain an in-depth understanding of the obstacles hindering the development of education and aims to provide evidence that supports the creation of a stronger and more inclusive education system, thus building Palestinian human capital.

The vision of the Education Unit at An-Najah aligns with the University's aspiration to become a leading global center for scientific research and a catalyst for community service and leadership.

It focuses on improving the level of education in Palestine through the implementation of research and development projects that contribute to the development of the education sector, as well as the advancement of education concepts and methodologies on both local and international scales.

Activities:

• Research Studies: The Education Research Unit conducts experimental studies and research projects to investigate various aspects of education. This includes studying teaching and learning strategies, evaluating the effectiveness of educational interventions, exploring educational policies and their impact, and investigating educational disparities and equity issues. Through data collection and analysis using surveys, interviews, observations, and evaluations, we generate valuable insights to improve educational practices and outcomes.
• Policy Analysis and Development: Our unit plays a crucial role in guiding educational policies and decision-making processes. We conduct policy analysis to assess the effectiveness of current policies, propose evidence-based policy recommendations, and provide insights on emerging educational issues. We collaborate with government agencies, education authorities, and policymakers to ensure that our research results contribute to the development of informed and effective educational policies.
• Capacity Building and Training: We implement capacity building programs and training opportunities for researchers, educators, and policymakers.
