A distinguished research team from An-Najah National University has published a significant study on burnout, resilience, and career continuity among Palestinian lawyers in the prestigious journal PLOS ONE. The study, titled "Beyond Burnout: A Comprehensive Investigation of Burnout, Resilience, and Career Continuity Among Palestinian Lawyers in a Complex Socio-Political Environment", was authored by Dr. Noor Adas, Dr. Muayad Hattab, Dr. Abdalkarim Ayyoub, Dr. Shadi Khalil Abualkibash, Dr. Muntaser Nafeth Asmar,, Dr. Akram Akram Daoud, Dr. Ghassan Khaled, and Dr. Zuheir N. Published in PLOS ONE, which holds an impact factor of 2.9 and is ranked Q1 globally, this study contributes significantly to the field of occupational psychology and legal profession well-being.

The research examines the pressing issue of professional burnout among Palestinian lawyers, emphasizing critical factors such as mindfulness, psychological resilience, social support, and the role of training programs in fostering career continuity. Employing advanced Smart PLS4 analytical tools, the study analyzed data from 323 participants, providing valuable insights into the occupational challenges faced by legal professionals.

Findings from the study reveal an extraordinary level of psychological resilience among Palestinian lawyers despite facing considerable political and economic adversities. The study also highlights that female lawyers exhibit a stronger commitment to their profession, largely due to their intertwined social and economic responsibilities. Furthermore, the research presents key recommendations aimed at enhancing lawyer retention, improving job satisfaction, and fostering resilience in demanding work environments.
