In a significant contribution to economic research, Dr. Alaa Razia, a distinguished researcher from An-Najah National University, has published a pioneering study titled "Examining how unemployment, inflation and their related aspects affected economic growth in Palestine: The period from 1991 to 2020" in the Heliyon journal, listed under ELSEVIER with an impact factor of 4.

Collaborating with a number of professors from Palestine Technical University, Kadoorie, namely: Dr. Bahaa Awwad, Dr. Bahaa Razia, and Mr. Abdullah Ruzieh, Dr. Alaa Razia's study delves into the intricate dynamics of unemployment and inflation and their impact on the Palestinian economy.

The research sheds light on the long-term negative effects of unemployment and its related aspects on economic growth in Palestine. Conversely, the study reveals a positive long-term impact of inflation and its aspects on economic growth in the State of Palestine. In the short run, the findings highlight a significant negative effect of unemployment on economic growth, while inflation, although positive, did not exhibit a noticeable effect.

Based on the comprehensive results, the study recommends the imperative of stabilizing inflation through effective price control mechanisms. Such measures, it suggests, could enhance macroeconomic conditions, boost investor confidence, stimulate economic growth, and foster opportunities for full employment of human resources through self-motivated entrepreneurial activities aligned with graduates' qualifications. This approach, the study argues, not only contributes to the development of necessary skills to increase productivity but also aids in the reduction of unemployment.
