An-Najah Professor Participates in the Arab Council for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Annual Gathering
On Tuesday, December 26th, 2017, commissioned by Professor Maher Natsheh, Acting President of An-Najah and member of the Arab Council for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research of the Association of Arab Universities, Prof. Naji Qatanani, Dean of Scientific Research participated in the Arab Council for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Annual Gathering which took place in Cairo, Egypt.
The meeting aimed to discuss the strategic study plan of scientific research, research dissemination and masters' and PhD thesis supervision over the next five years.
At the end of the meeting, the Council recommended holding scientific conferences for deans of scientific research and graduate studies in the Arab World and establishing research groups to discuss applied research projects regarding water, renewable energy, medical science, agriculture and nutrition.
The council also recommended the Arab Universities Researchers to publish their original research papers in the Journals affiliated and issued by the Association of Arab Universities Council in order to speed up the process of indexing these journals in Scopus and Thomson Reuters.
In this regards, Prof. Qatanani has suggested holding workshops for the Deans of Scientific Research and Chief Editors of Scientific Journals in order to discuss ways and mechanisms for indexing Arab Journals in Scopus and Thomson Reuters. The council approved to Prof. Qatanani proposal.
