Nominating Prof. Mahmoud Matar to be Member of the Supreme Council of the Arab Board of Health Specializations
The Council of Arab Ministers of Health has recently nominated Prof. Mahmoud Matar, staff member at An-Najah's Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and physician at An-Najah National University Hospital to be member of the Supreme Council of the Arab Board of Health Specializations. The nomination has been made during the 94 council session held in March, 2018.
Prof. Matar is an Urologist, Nephrologist and Associate Professor with a (Docent) rank recognized by the Turkish Council of Higher Education. He was also a Visiting Scientist at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Centre, one of the original three comprehensive cancer centres in the United States.
Prof. Matar was nominated for his distinguished academic and clinical performance on the local and Arab levels. He has more 60 research papers published by prominent international journals. He also presented 100 papers in scientific international conferences and obtained several international awards.
It is worth mentioning that the Council of Arab Ministers of Health has also nominated Dr. Amin Thalji, Secretary General of the Palestine Medical Council along with Prof. Matar to obtain the membership.
