An-Najah National University has once again solidified its reputation as a leading institution of higher education in Palestine, with the release of the latest report on scientific research output in 2022. The report reveals that An-Najah National University has maintained its position at the forefront of Palestinian universities in the field of scientific research for the year 2022, based on several indicators including number of publications, and citations.


By the end of 2022, An-Najah had published 3,850 research papers in the Scopus database, including over 557 papers in the same year, marking a significant increase from previous years. The University published 500 papers in 2021, 385 in 2020, and 344 in 2019. This increase reflects the global importance and scientific value of research. Over the past ten years, the number of research papers has seen a remarkable increase from 99 in 2012 to 557 in 2022, indicating the University's commitment to supporting and encouraging researchers in all fields.

The University has made significant strides in academic research, especially in the fields of medicine, health sciences, natural sciences, engineering, information technology, social and educational sciences. The University's research output is impressive, as evidenced by the Scopus database, which contains 3850 publications up until the end of 2022, including 557 published in 2022 alone.

Among the most prolific researchers of the year were Dr. Ahmed Bassalat with 42 published research papers, followed by Prof. Ismail Warad (35 papers), Prof. Nidal Jaradat (34 papers), Dr. Mohammed Hawash (22 papers), Prof. Sa'ed Zyoud (20 papers), Eng. Ramez Abdullah (18 papers), Prof. Shehdeh Jodeh (18 papers), Dr. Adel Juaidi (17 papers), Prof. Ramzi Shawahneh (14 papers), and Prof. Bilal Hamamra (14 papers). The University's commitment to supporting researchers in all fields has resulted in a qualitative leap in scientific research, which is a testament to its wise leadership.
