In this year's ranking, the university was placed 7^th in the Arab World and 117^th in the world compared to 144^th in 2015.

An-Najah consists of four campuses; namely, the New Campus, the Old Campus and the Hisham Hijjawi College Campus in Nablus; the Faculties of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine’s Campus in Tulkarem in addition to An-Najah National Hospital with a total area of 270000 m² of which 90000 m² are green areas.

The University has undertaken a number of green projects through the Energy Research Centre, such as the solar power and energy saving systems for the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy and An-Najah National Hospital buildings as well as a solar heating system for the Faculty of Physical Education building.

On the academic level, the university established the first master’s programme on clean energy and energy conservation which is the first of its kind in the Arab region.
