The “Cactee” team from An-Najah National University has achieved a remarkable milestone by qualifying for the prestigious Hult Prize Global Finals, becoming the sole team from Palestinian universities to reach this level. The team's outstanding performance has earned them the opportunity to represent An-Najah University at the upcoming Milan Summit, scheduled to take place online on June 16th - 17th.

Comprised of talented students Abdullah Ghazal, Rouaa Arafat, Ruba Arafat, and Hala Abu Al-Saud from the Faculties of Engineering and Information Technology, and Fine Arts, the “Cactee” team impressed the judges with their innovative ideas and entrepreneurial spirit.

Prof. Abdel Nasser Zaid, President of An-Najah, expressed his delight and congratulated the students on their remarkable achievement. He emphasized the University's commitment to nurturing the creative and groundbreaking ideas of Palestinian youth and affirmed the administration's unwavering support for young innovators.

The team’s participation in the esteemed Hult Prize competition was made possible through the facilitation of the Business Innovation and Technology Hub (NGate) at An-Najah University. A total of 21 teams presented their entrepreneurial ideas, with only seven teams qualifying for the final round. In a highly competitive field, the “Cactee” team emerged victorious in the “On Campus” stage, securing their place in the regional stage that will be conducted via Zoom at the Milan Summit.
