An-Najah Student Faiz Khandaqji Represents the University in Italy Through the BREEDTECH Project

Faiz Khandaqji, a student in the Plant Production and Protection program at An-Najah National University, recently took part in a training held in Pisa, Italy, under the Erasmus+ BREEDTECH project. The program, led by An-Najah in collaboration with European, Palestinian, and African universities, focused on advanced techniques in plant breeding and genetic engineering.
During the training, Faiz gained hands-on experience in molecular plant breeding, participated in workshops, and contributed to both lab and field experiments. This opportunity helped him apply theoretical knowledge in a practical setting and strengthened his skills as a young researcher.
Culturally, the program offered valuable exchange, allowing Faiz to build international friendships and deepen his understanding of global perspectives. “I’m proud to have represented An-Najah and I look forward to sharing what I’ve learned with my peers,” he said.
Faiz expressed his gratitude to An-Najah for its support, and to Dr. Munqez Shtaya for his guidance throughout the experience. His journey reflects the University’s commitment to preparing students for success through international collaboration and applied research.
