As part of the first in-person graduation ceremony since 2019 that took place in November 2021 in the Caird Hall in Dundee, the School of Business at the University of Dundee, issued a number of individual student prizes and announced the School of Business Graduation prize-winners 2021/22.


Rahiq Ismail, Instructor at An-Najah National University, An-Najah Alumna from the Accounting Department and MA student in the Accounting, Management and Strategy Department at the University of Dundee, won two individual student prizes. She won the "MSc Accounting and Finance Prize" for the best student category and the "MSc Accounting and Finance Dissertation Prize" for the best dissertation category.

Prizes were awarded to students who achieved the highest academic performance in the University of Dundee's Business School at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Following the official graduation ceremony, where graduands received their degrees, Dundee Business School awarded its highest performing students with prizes to celebrate their scholarly achievements.

Speaking about how she felt when she won the two prizes, Rahiq said: "I just feel extremely proud. It also makes me feel extremely fulfilled knowing the hard work I put in during the earlier stages all paid off."

Rahiq's distinguished dissertation title is "The Impact of Environmental, Social and Governance Performance on Financial Performance: Evidence from the UK."
