An-Najah’s Scientific Centers and R2M Project Partner with An-Najah Innovation Park to Launch Research-Based Startups
In a strategic move to drive innovation and entrepreneurship, An-Najah National University, represented by Prof. Munqez Shtaya, Director of Scientific Centers and Research to Market project (R2M), signed an incubation agreement with An-Najah Innovation Park, represented by Prof. Allam Mousa. The signing ceremony, held under the patronage of Prof. Abdel Nasser Zaid, University President, aims to transform three pioneering research projects into successful startups.
This initiative empowers researchers and students by turning their innovative research ideas into viable business models. Selected through a rigorous evaluation process, the three projects represent impactful solutions that address pressing societal challenges. The agreement underscores the vital role of partnerships between universities and innovation hubs in advancing a knowledge-driven economy.
Prof. Mousa highlighted the Innovation Park’s commitment to supporting cutting-edge research and entrepreneurship, emphasizing that the agreement aligns with its broader mission to promote sustainable development and drive technological advancement.
Prof. Zaid described the agreement as a milestone in the university’s efforts to position itself as a hub for innovation and entrepreneurship. He emphasized its role in enhancing employability for graduates, encouraging creativity, and bridging the gap between academic research and industry needs. An-Najah Innovation Park will provide a comprehensive incubation ecosystem, offering technical support, professional mentorship, collaborative workspaces, and access to investor networks and industry partnerships to help these startups thrive.
The R2M project is implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
