An-Najah University Welcomes Korean Delegation for Book Donation Ceremony to Promote Cultural Exchange
On Monday, October 27, 2025, An-Najah National University welcomed an official delegation from the Representative Office of the Republic of Korea to Palestine for a book donation ceremony held at the University Library on the Old Campus. The visit coincided with the university’s Languages Open Day, which featured multilingual and cultural activities across campus.
The Korean delegation was led by Mr. Young Kul Koh, Representative of the Republic of Korea to Palestine, accompanied by three officials from the Korean office. The delegation was received by Dr. Abdulsalam Khayyat, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Prof. Waleed Sweileh, Dean of Scientific Research; Mr. Raed Debiy, Assistant to the President for Community Affairs; Dr. Fadi Hassouneh; Ms. Samah Qandil, Director of University Libraries; Ms. Summer Abu Mughli from the Partnerships and Global Initiatives Office; and representatives from the Public Relations Department.
During the visit, the delegation presented a collection of Korean books translated into Arabic, donated to the University Library with the aim of enriching academic resources on Korean literature and culture and providing students with the opportunity to explore the rich heritage of Korea.
This initiative reflects the growing cultural and academic ties between An-Najah National University and Korean institutions and aligns with the shared efforts to promote cross-cultural understanding and multilingualism.
The visit concluded with a tour of the Languages Open Day activities, where the delegation explored interactive booths and cultural displays representing various global languages and traditions, with active participation from students and faculty across disciplines.
