ERC has implemented HES as a pilot project under MED-Solar framework to provide and secured energy supplied of loads in An-Najah Hospital building. The project has achieved environmental benefits by combining several renewable energy sources in hybrid system (grid-connected, off-grid, genset) which reduce CO2 emission, providing reliable supply of electricity on all loads conditions, reducing operation cost of generator through reduction of fuel consumption and increasing system efficiency.

The outcomes and innovative technology of the project have been transferred to the private and public sector, and also the awareness regarding the energy issue in Palestine and importance of renewable energy technology was increased by holding training courses and awareness sessions which encouraged people to exploit the RE technology.

It distinguishes projects regionally, nationally and globally that conserve resources such as energy or utilize renewable or emission-free sources. Award ceremonies are held all over the world. The activities of Energy Globe attract worldwide media attention - international TV stations report each year with approximately 1,000 hours of broadcasting time. The aim of the Energy Globe is to raise global attention on sustainable, everywhere applicable environmental solutions and to motivate people to also become active in this area.
