An-Najah National University is finalizing preparations for the third edition of the National Shopping Festival, scheduled to begin on Sunday, April 14, 2019, at the New Campus. This event, poised to be the largest of its kind in Palestine, reflects the university’s commitment to fostering local economic growth and community well-being.

As the largest economic event in northern Palestine, the festival will bring together a wide array of Palestinian companies and manufacturers, showcasing locally produced goods at accessible prices, tailored to the current economic challenges. By supporting local businesses, the festival aims to strengthen domestic industries and promote sustainable economic practices that contribute to the region’s long-term resilience.

In addition to stimulating economic activity in Nablus, the festival has a philanthropic purpose. All proceeds will be directed to An-Najah National University's Student Aid Fund, providing financial assistance to students in need, thus supporting access to education for all—a key pillar of the university’s social responsibility initiatives.

Through initiatives like this festival, An-Najah National University reinforces its commitment to sustainable development by promoting local entrepreneurship, encouraging responsible consumption, and fostering inclusive economic growth. The university's role in supporting the local economy, enhancing education accessibility, and preserving cultural heritage aligns with its broader mission of creating long-term, sustainable opportunities for the community.

The festival will feature a range of activities, including artistic performances and cultural showcases that celebrate Palestinian heritage. It will also offer exclusive deals on a variety of essential products, including items for Ramadan, holidays, and other needs for Palestinian families. The inclusion of local crafts and culturally significant items underscores the university’s efforts to preserve and promote national identity while encouraging responsible consumption and production.

Professor Maher Natsheh, Acting President of the University, highlighted the dual objectives of the festival: supporting local products and industries while raising funds for the Student Aid Fund, ensuring that education remains accessible to all. He extended an invitation to the public to attend and engage with the event, noting the valuable contributions of the participating companies.

The third National Shopping Festival, under the esteemed patronage of President Mahmoud Abbas, will be held at An-Najah’s New Campus from April 14, 2019, to April 19, 2019. The event promises a unique blend of economic opportunity, community engagement, and cultural celebration.
