An-Najah's Water and Environmental Studies Institute (WESI) Hosts a Working Day for Group of Water Operators

The Water and Environmental Studies Institute (WESI) at An-Najah National University in cooperation with Aqua Consulting Center (ACC), welcomed a group of water operators from different local institutions in the West Bank, Palestine.
The visit is designed to enhance the knowledge exchange between institutes dealing with water quality monitoring and public health. Also, it aims at experiencing first-hand the achievements and discover the lessons learned of the University's Water and Environmental Studies Institute (WESI) leading in the field of water and environment, and exchanging and learning from peers who are dealing with the quality of the drinking-water for public health.
The guests were given an extensive tour of the Water and Environmental Studies Institute's facilities and laboratories. Eng. Bilal Al-Shayeb and Mr. Rami Basalat introduced the guests to the WESI's services and activities, which include conducting scientific research on water resources management, wastewater treatment, renewable energy production and water quality monitoring and the effect of Agricultural and industrial activities on it.
Furthermore, the guests took a tour of the New Campus' scientific centers, including the Earth Sciences and Seismic Engineering Unit, and the Analysis and Calibration Unit (ACU) to learn more about the University's facilitates, services and infrastructure.
