Professor Natsheh welcomed the delegates and started by briefing them on An-Najah’s academic programmes, scientific centres and the teaching hospital. He also talked about the wide base of cooperation An-Najah has with institutions around the world and the Arabic for non-Native Speakers programme.

In turn, Dr. Wegener thanked An-Najah for the kind reception and talked about the Institute’s work in international relations, youth exchange and languages teaching, including Arabic.

Then both parties discussed means of cooperation between the institute and An-Najah in teaching Arabic and exchange of students.

Afterwards, the delegates met with a group of students to discuss education in Palestine and finally they were given a tour of the university and the old city of Nablus.

• The delegation also included the International Relations Coordinators from the institute and the meeting was also attended by Dr. Tareq Al Hajj, Dean of Economics at an-Najah, Dr. Abdallah Hassouneh, Head of the Business Administration Department and Ms Karam Abughazleh from the International Office.
