Industry
The Program undertakes teaching and practical activities in many fields related to Biology. These activities enable graduates to be engaged in jobs from private and public sectors such as food industry, pharmaceutical industry, food safety and diseases control.
Teaching and Learning
The Program provides an appropriate learning and educational environment for students. The faculty provides the department with all needed teaching facilities such as halls and laboratories. Laboratories are equipped with modern instruments required for practical courses.
Upon graduation students in this program should be able to:
- Use scientific methods to explain different natural phenomena critically and creatively.
- Expand own knowledge independently.
- Interact and communicate with people from same and other disciplines.
- Implement and preserve professional ethics in different sectors, academic or professional.
- Able to pursue graduate study in different areas of Biology at different university systems.
- Undertake teaching duties in Biology in schools.
Coursework and Assessment
Studies consist of lectures, various problems, reports, as well as seminar presentations and examinations.
The assessment is mainly based on the grades of exams, seminar presentations, reports and laboratory reports.
A numerical scale 0-4 in whole numbers is used.
In addition to courses mentioned in in the plan of the program, students are required to spend 40 days of practical training in schools and/or public sectors that are related to Biology in Palestine or abroad.
