Digital image processing techniques have entered many applications ranging from medical imaging, computer graphics, and pattern recognition. In this course, students will learn basic concepts of visual perception and advanced techniques for image processing, segmentation and encoding, and a basic understanding of pattern recognition and computer vision. The course will guide students to work on images related to spatial data in order to apply what they have learned in the course.

This course deals with some applied aspects of geomorphology, and these aspects will cover topics in planning and sustainable development of projects through choosing the optimal locations for establishing vital projects in which the least risks and greatest benefits are achieved. The teaching of this course focuses on selecting the optimal sites for dams and determining land uses based on an evaluation of the slow, fast, and perhaps sudden geomorphological processes prevalent and potential in the study sites. It also addresses hydromorphological, pedological, morphoeconomic and morpho-tourism applications, in addition to morphological assessments, through microscopic sections and comprehensive studies based on field and laboratory work.

It also deals with risk management, managing employees, facilitating the process of institutional change and its integration with the projects that operate under the umbrella of this institution and its complete strategic outlook.Moreovrr, it focuses on the unique integration of project determinants (quality, time, cost, scope of work, and risks) and how to manage them comprehensively so that we can change one of them and control the impact of this change on the remaining determinants.
