The Contemporary Public Relations MA program aims to prepare future leaders in PR who can compete in local and regional markets. The program aims at providing students with extensive theoretical knowledge and practical experience where students can be part of PR Management or Institutional Communication.
The program aims to expand students' knowledge about the history of communication and PR, its morals and principles. It also aims to enable students communicate actively with different media under different economic, political and social situations, in addition to communicating with the audience.
Moreover, the program aspires to develop students' skills in critical thinking, which is an important element of effective communication, expecting future problems and managing crisis. The program also works to enhance the theoretical and practical skills with regards to managing media relations, understanding the needs and expectations of the society and the public opinion, collecting data to develop strategic communication plans, managing reputation, and dealing with social media as tools for promotion and advocacy.
